How to Transfer an Existing Website from GoDaddy to FastComet

We would be glad to assist you with the transfer of your website which is included as a free service in any of our hosting plans. Simply open a ticket from your Client Area with the following credentials:

  • GoDaddy control panel URL
  • Username for accessing control panel
  • Password for accessing control panel

Our technical support team will gladly initiate the free transfer of your website.

After we acquire those credentials we will be able to initiate the transfer of your website and we will export your database as well. When the transfer is successfully completed we will import the database to your new account and perform the required configurations to assure you that your website is working properly on our server.

Once over, you will need to point your domain to our nameservers. After the DNS changes, such as changing the nameservers, there is a short propagation period for the new settings to get updated on your end. This might take up to a few hours.

Note that during the transfer and propagation period we highly recommend that you avoid any changes on your website because data may be lost.
